Company Profile

RL Scales was formed in late 2001 to serve the need for OEM scale products and weighing systems for many industries.  It was merged with Scale-Tron, its parent company, in 2010.  40 years of past experience in the load cell weighing field show a solid commitment to the weighing industry and the ability to handle any job, no matter how big or small, that involves electronic weighing.

Engineering experience includes load cell and strain gauge sensor design and manufacturing, electronic load cell indicator and transmitter design and manufacturing, commercial platform scale design and manufacturing, plus applications of load cells in weighing systems from gram capacities to hundreds of tons.  Scale-Tron personnel have designed one of the first digital load cell weighing systems in the world, the first legal-for-trade crane scale in Canada, in-motion conveyor scales, fast automatic bagging systems, ultra-high accuracy gold and silver batching systems, miniature digital weight indicators, load cell transmitters and high volume, high accuracy scales in use in automatic supermarket checkout systems across the world.

Our Parent Company

SCALE-TRON INC. has over 30 years continuous experience in design and manufacturing of digital weighing systems. Scale-Tron concrete batching systems are in use across North America and the Far East.  The company also custom designs weighing systems for specialized applications.  Engineering abilities include sensor and load cell design, electronic circuit and microprocessor design, electrical control system engineering, PLC and computer programming.  Additional capabilities include the design of complete plants and supply of equipment in all areas of concrete production.

Scale-Tron is the only manufacturer to produce all the major components of an automatic concrete production control system: dispatching software, batching, aggregate moisture measurement and mixer water dosing.
